Pancake |
A pancake is a hotcake or is a flat cake, often thin and round, prepared from a starch-based batter that may contain eggs, milk and butter and cooked on a hot surface such as a griddle or frying pan,
often frying with oil or butter.
Pancakes may be served at any time of the day with a variety of toppings or fillings including jam, fruit, syrup, chocolate chips, or meat.
Ingredients:
- Flour
- Egg
- Milk
- Butter
- Water
- Salt
- Baking powder
- In a large bowl, sift together the flour
- Add baking powder, salt and sugar.
- Mix together.
- Make a well in the center
- Pour in the milk, egg and melted butter.
- mix until smooth.
- Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan.
- Over medium high heat.
- Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle.
- Leave till Brown on both sides.
- Serve hot.
