Royal Icing |
Royal icing is a sweet, fluid paste made from whisked egg whites, Royal icing is essential when it comes to cake decorating.
INGREDIENTS:

- 2 large egg whites
- 1 tbsp. lime juice
- ½ cup icing sugar
- 1 tsp glycerine
- Food coloring (If Needed)
DIRECTIONS:
- With a whisk or electric mixer
- On medium speed to whip the egg whites until its foamy and white
- Gradually add the icing till it combine.
- Add the lime juice and glycerin.
- Mix for about 5-10 minutes until opaque and shiny.
Note: The icing must have a smooth consistency to take hold on the cake.
- Food coloring can be added, if desired.
- For immediate use, place the icing in a pastry bag pipe on the cake as desired.
- The Royal Icing can be stored in an airtight container in a refrigerator for up to 3 days.
